Fragments of Frankin Court
archeology exhibit 318 Market Steet

Why bare walls? These brick walls were once part of a rental property built by Benjamin Franklin in 1786. Despite extensive alterations to the house, you can visually reconstruct its original appearance. Inside you can view archeological finds from Franklin Court through the years.

Photo of Justice Bell

The Justice Bell is an early replica of the Liberty Bell. Ordered during the Women’s Suffrage Movement by Katherine Ruschenberger, it traveled all over as a symbol of suffrage.  Now it rests at Valley Forge.  Women gained the right to vote with the 19th Amendment in 1920.
