Join thousands of kids across the country and celebrate National Junior Ranger Day. Petroglyph is one of 391 National Parks nationwide that is sponsoring special events and activities just for kids & families. So pack lunch, bring the kids and grandma & grandpa too for a day of fun and excitement. 9:00am at Boca Negra Canyon: Explore the monument`s natural and cultural treasures with a park ranger. 10:00am & 1:00pm at the Visitor Center: See real wolves during this program presented by the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. 11:00am at the Visitor Center: Traditional Indian shell necklace stringing 12:00pm at the Visitor Center: Walter Waterdrop water conservation activity 2:00pm at the Visitor Center: Native Desert plants and their uses plus drawing 3:00pm at the Visitor Center: Ancestral Puebloan children`s games and spear throwing All participating children will receive Junior Ranger awards. No reservations required and all the events are free and open to the public. |
