Your Buck Stops Here! The Harry S Truman National Historic Site bookstore and gift shop is located in the park visitor center located at 223 N. Main. The shop is operated by our cooperating association, Eastern National, which contributes a portion of its sales back into the park for visitor-related projects. By purchasing items in our bookstore, you are helping to support the park! At Harry S Truman NHS, visitors can purchase books, souvenirs, and educational items to enhance their visit to the Truman site, learn about world events during the Truman administration and increase their knowledge of the National Park Service.

Below are a few items available for purchase, including: a wide variety of mysteries by Margaret Truman, the park's official guidebook ($4.95), books on World War II and historic planes, holiday ornaments ($13.95) and of course pins, hats, t-shirts, magnets, and even your own "The Buck Stops Here!" desk sign ($39.95). Harry S Truman’s middle name was just that:  S. It was not an abbreviation.  Mr. Truman claimed he was given the S to honor both his grandfathers, Solomon Young and Anderson Shipp Truman.
