Change in Park Hours
The Truman Home and Visitor Center are now closed Sundays, Mondays, & all federal holidays. The Truman Farm Home and the Noland Home are closed to the public.
Your Buck Stops Here! The Harry S Truman National Historic Site bookstore and gift shop is located in the park visitor center located at 223 N. Main. The shop is operated by our cooperating association, Eastern National, which contributes a portion of its sales back into the park for visitor-related projects. By purchasing items in our bookstore, you are helping to support the park! At Harry S Truman NHS, visitors can purchase books, souvenirs, and educational items to enhance their visit to the Truman site, learn about world events during the Truman administration and increase their knowledge of the National Park Service.
Please visit the Harry S Truman NHS online bookstore maintained by Eastern National, or contact our site directly at 816-254-7199, or @ email@example.com to purchase or inquire about items not available online. To learn more about Eastern National, click here.
Some of our items are not available online and can only be purchased in-person or by phone. Below are a few items available for purchase, including: a wide variety of mysteries by Margaret Truman, the park's official guidebook ($4.95), books on World War II and historic planes, holiday ornaments ($13.95) and of course pins, hats, t-shirts, magnets, and even your own "The Buck Stops Here!" desk sign ($39.95).
