Did You Know?
Bess Truman died in her home on 18 October 1982, from congestive heart failure. She was 97 years, 247 days old. As of 2010, she is the longest-lived First Lady of all time. She is buried with her husband in the courtyard of the Truman Library. Harry S Truman National Historic Site, Missouri
