Fordyce Stained Glass Podcast

Hi. This is Joe Herron, Park Guide at Hot Springs National Park. Today we are going to talk about the stained glass and I am standing in the Music Room also known as the Assembly Room. Directly overhead we have the stained glass put in by the Condi-Neal Glass Company from St. Louis back in 1914-15 when the Fordyce Bathhouse was being built. The Assembly Room is adorned with musical instruments: A violin, French horn, harp. Also on first floor in the men's bath hall is Neptune's Daughter's. 8,000 pieces of glass. They are celebrating the god of water. Also, in the ladies bath hall and ladies pack room we see more stained glass put in by the Condi-Neal Glass Company.
