NPS New U.S. Citizen U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Ceremonies Thursday June 14, 2012 - Flag Day Monday September 17, 2012 - Constitution Day These special ceremonies are held at the Education Center at 2 p.m. and are open to the public. Come and witness new U.S. citizens being sworn in at the ceremony.

Homestead's Traveling Exhibit May Be Coming to Your Area! Homestead National Monument of America will be sending a traveling exhibit around the country through 2012. This series of exhibit banners is meant to raise awareness about the commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Homestead Act.

Did You Know?
The Homestead Act of 1862, which gave away 160 acre claims, was repealed in the lower 48 states in 1976. In Alaska, claims could be filed up to 1986!
