Quilt Discovery Experience

A new visitor experience is coming to Homestead. This project is the result of community member Kay McKenzie's dream and the hard work of a team of people.

Homestead partnered with the Nebraska State Quilt Guild to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Homestead Act and held a quilt design contest.

Homestead National Monument of America will be sending a traveling exhibit around the country through 2012. This series of exhibit banners is meant to raise awareness about the commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Homestead Act.
