Scavenge Around for Fun! Be part of an exciting new event at Homestead National Monument of America: the Prairie Prowl Scavenger Hunt! As this year's "Get Out, Get Fit" National Park Week event, the Monument invites everyone to hit the trails between9 a.m. and 3 p.m.to participate in a one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt for all ages. Both kids and adults will be challenged to trace nature and history clues to find treasures and activities all around the park. All are sure to learn some intriguing facts and have a fun adventure. To help celebrate National Junior Ranger Day, rangers will also lead a special scavenger hunt adventure for kids at10 a.m.Kids will explore the trails and see if they can follow all of the clues to the treasure chests! The Prairie Prowl Scavenger Hunt, as well as the kids'10 a.m.edition, will start at the Education Center. The activity is free and no registration is required.
