Deer Tracks in Snow

Calling all kids! Use your outdoor investigating skills to become a winter Nature Detective at Homestead National Monument of America. In this Kids in Parks program, join park rangers to "Explore Your Winter World" on Saturday, November 30 at 10 a.m. at the Education Center. Find out how animals survive in the cold winter environment. Learn how to find signs of animals in nature based on their scat and tracks. Even make a nature craft to take home with you. Then use all your detective tools and tricks to look for animal clues on an outdoor hike—see how many you can find! This program is free of charge and open to all ages. Participants should dress warm for going outside.
