Families are invited to come to Homestead National Monument of America to explore their spring world with a Park Ranger on March 30 at 10:00 a.m.Bring a camera and dress appropriately to explore outside as we explore the prairie and woodland for photo opportunities.. This fun program will start at the Homestead Education Center. Early spring is a great time of the year to get outside and look for animal signs.Children will play a few interactive games that help teach them to identify animal tracks with a Park Ranger.Homestead's Volunteer Photographer Bernadette Korslund will teach the children basic photography lessons and then head out on the trails to find photo opportunities of the animals and plants that call Homestead home.Bring your own camera. After the event, send in your photos and see them posted on the park's Facebook page. "The call of the killdeer, buds bursting, and ground squirrels making their appearance around the Heritage Center are just a few of the signs that spring is here, come celebrate with this wonderful event and show off your photography skills", stated Superintendent Mark Engler. |
