BEATRICE--Volunteers are needed for a new scanning and indexing project at Homestead National Monument of America. Through this project, the activities and events at Homestead National Monument of America will be documented for future use. Be a part of the team that saves this history. If you are interested, please contact Volunteer Manager Susan Cook at 402-223-1712 or email susan_cook@nps.gov.

People with various skills are needed. Some are needed to use the computers to scan the photographs. Many other  volunteers are needed to look at the pictures and document information. All volunteers will receive training. There is no set schedule; each volunteer can set their own schedule within Homestead's hours of operation.

"Scanning and indexing the park's photo collection is a fun project. You get to look at all the pictures taken of events, activities and projects at Homestead National Monument of America. There are some amazing things to look at." stated Superintendent Mark Engler.
