This centennial year the festival is featuring popular movies filmed at National Park Service sites across America. February 6 and 7 the festival will showcase Butch Cassidy &the Sundance Kid, "a 1969 western that tells the story of Wild West outlaws who are on the run from a U.S. posse after several train robberies."The American Film Institute ranked Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid as the 49th-greatest American film on its AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies (10th Anniversary Edition) list. "The Homestead Centennial Celebration continues with this exciting movie, complete with spectacular scenery of the American Southwest, including Zion National Park," stated Superintendent Mark Engler.
