Blacksmith Shop
The blacksmith was one of the most important workers at the furnace. His job was to make sure that the many horses which carried the iron products from the furnace to market had shoes. He also made and repaired tools for the furnace and its workers. His skills extended to making nails, hinges, latches and all iron items needed for the furnace buildings. His shop was certainly a busy place!
Next stop on your tour is the Schoolhouse Ruins.
