Contact: Melinda Repko, 740-774-1126 Native Plant & Pollinator Garden Tour Date: Saturday, July 19th Join us for a different kind of garden tour at the home of Hopewell Culture NHP's Park Biologist, Danfa Reiner. Learn how a small backyard within city limits can become a safe haven for birds, butterflies and other native pollinators. We will demonstrate techniques and low-cost strategies for transforming lawn to wildflowers and horticultural plantings to a native plant oasis. Also on display will be potted plants and native seed packets which will be raffled amongst the program participants. Not only is this program educational, fun and free, but you may go home with a native plant or seed packet to help you start your own backyard native garden. Rain or shine. PLEASE NOTE: Space for this event is limited. Please call the Visitor Center to reserve your spot at (740) 774-1126. For directions to the Mound City Group visitor center, please visit the Directions page where you will find maps and detailed directions. |
