Curriculum guide now available.

Help educate your students about Ohio prehistory with help from the park's curriculum guide. The guide contains an overview of 14,000 years of human occupation in the region and provides dozens of educational activities. Expeditions into Ohio's Past, written by Park Rangers Susan Knisley and Megan Stevens, printed in 2005, and updated in 2008 is available electronically as an Adobe Acrobat file by clicking here. Did You Know?
The first publication of the Smithsonian Institution in 1848 was an extensive survey of archeology sites that included all of the sites at Hopewell Culture. The book was authored by Ephraim Squier and Edwin Davis, residents of the town of Chillicothe where the park is located.
