Bicentennial Symposium

Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities at Auburn University and the Friends of Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, Inc. will present a symposium commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the Creek War of 1813-14. It will focus on the pivotal events of two hundred years ago in Alabama, the Southeast, the United States and the world. This event will take place at the Auburn University Conference Center on Friday & Saturday, March 21st and 22nd, 2014. Up to fourteen presentations will take place over the course of both days. This 1812 bicentennial symposium is free to the public. Lunch is not provided, but there will be adequate time between the morning and afternoon sessions for attendee to eat at local establishments.
