Flintlock Musket Firing Demonstration

Flintlock Musket Demonstration: An interpreter dressed as a regular soldier or militiaman demonstrates the firing of a black powder flintlock musket. (20 minutes)

Programs about flintlock firearms and the participants of the battle can be arranged by choosing from the following list. Reservations are required for all programs and can be made at the Visitor Center or by calling (256) 234-7111.

The Life of the Red Stick Warriors: An Interpreter explains the culture and experience of a Creek Warrior fighting in the battle of Horseshoe Bend (20 minutes)

Guided Tour of the Battlefield: An Interpreter leads your group on a tour of the battlefield using the 2.8-mile Nature/Battlefield Hiking Trail. This program cannot always be offered due to staffing limitations and cannot be arranged in conjunction with other programs. (2 hours)

A Junior Ranger Program is available to individual children between the ages of 6-12.
