| Today's
Accomplishments: |
Exposed a pronounced red fired floor at the edge of the third (second
interior) mound stage on the south side of Mound A, which we are
exposing up the side of the mound. Continued to work on both the south and
top of the mound. |
 |
Pronounced red fired clay floor appearing at
the edge of an interior mound stage in N39 E181. Following and photographing
this mound stage surface from base to top on this side is a major research
goal remaining before us. |
 |
Fired (wall line?) area in N38-39 E179, to the
west of the red floor exposed in the south trench. The red floor is also
present in these units, but has not been reached as of yet. Traces of it
can, however, be seen in the profile. |
 |
Exposing the third interior stage of Mound A, on
the south side. SEAC archaeologists Jessica McNeil and Emily Yates, to the
left and right, are standing at approximately the level of this stage. SEAC
archaeologist Jill Halchin is in the center working on the western side of
this stage. |
