| Today's
Accomplishments: |
We unloaded the U-Haul truck and got things
organized. Our work trailers will not come until tomorrow, so we were
somewhat limited. Supplies were purchased from Corinth, the U-haul
truck was returned, and water pumps were picked up from Florence, Al.
Supplies for the rail system tracks that are to aid excavation at the mound
were also dropped off at the base of the mound. In the afternoon we
began to assemble the tracks, and completed the portion of the track leading
to the water screens on the
summit of the mound. |
 |
The track sections laid out showing approximate
route the railing system will take to the water screening area. |
 |
Josh Wells, Rachel Horlings, and Klinton Baggett
cutting the wooden supports for the track. |
 |
Ben Barnes and Addison Carter bolting sections of
track together. |
 |
Steve Kidd, Kellie Jefferson, Ben Barnes, and
Klinton Baggett assembling sections of track. |
 |
A turn section where the track makes a quarter
turn to
the northwest. |
 |
The completed section of the track at the end of
the first days work. |
