Today's Goals: Continue work on the north step trench and features on top of Mound A. Finish mapping and photographing the west side excavations and close the area.

Say goodbye to project VIPs Drew Wilburn and Brenda Longfellow. Today is their last day of work before returning home to Michigan.
Trench marked with nails to make it easier to find in the future. Work on the west side excavations have been closed. All excavation units have been cleaned, photographed, mapped and backfilled. Roberts' trench (lighter) has been marked with nails for future archeologists to find it much easier.
Trench on top of Mound A. The trench across the top of Mound A continues to have interesting features. The 1x3m area shown here has a distinct red band and grey band.
Visitor Dr. Paul Welch. We were visited by Dr. Paul Welch who will be on site tomorrow giving a guided tour of the Shiloh Indian Mounds.
