Today's Goals: Back to work! After a long weekend break the crew reconvenes and continues work on the south and north step trenches.

South step trench.  Features in the south step trench.Features in the south step trench.  Features in the south step trench. South trench work continues... and features keep appearing. The southernmost unit in the south step trench has a very distinct wall line feature, while in the middle of the trench a white clay feature appeared in the floor. The profile clearly shows the mound stages of reddish orange mound fill with a brown cap on top.
North step trench. The north step trench work is well underway also with four teams of archeologists hard at work.
