William J. Hunt, Jr., is an archeologist with the Midwest Archeological Center of the National Park Service. He has conducted extensive research throughout the West of military and trading post sites. He lives with his family in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Douglas D. Scott is an archeologist with the Midwest Archeological Center of the National Park Service. He has directed extensive research throughout the West of military sites from the period of the Indian Wars. These sites include the Little Big Horn Battlefield in Montana. He lives with his family in Lincoln, Nebraska.
