The Famcamp Archeology Center contains an on-site display of a genuine "in situ" archeological profile. The profile resulted from archeological investigations conducted by the National Park Service in 1991 and 1992. In association with the National Clearinghouse for Archaeological Site Stabilization, staff at the Southeast Archeological Center worked with Warren Air Force Base Environmental Management office to expose and stabilize remnants of the Plains Woodland site. The Famcamp Archeology Center includes a museum containing descriptions of: the archeological fieldwork; an in situ archeological profile and fire hearth; interpretive signs; the archeological stabilization work; interpretive artwork; manikin reproductions; and artifact displays.
