Pre-class Assignments

For interpreters:
1. Review Module 101, online: http://www.nps.gov/idp/interp/101/module.htm.
2. Look over the existing online NPS archeology competencies, online: http://www.nps.gov/training/npsonly/RSC/archeolo.htm.
3. Comprehensively review the "Archeology for Interpreters" online resource: http://www.cr.nps.gov/aad/AFORI/Index.htm

For archeologists:
1. Look over Module 101 as well as the other interpretation competencies (e.g. Module 103, 220, etc.), online: http://www.nps.gov/idp/interp/101/module.htm.
2. Comprehensively review the "Interpretation for Archeologists" online resource: http://www.cr.nps.gov/aad/IforA/index.htm.

All participants:
1. Watch the "PREHISTORIC LIFE IN NORTHERN ARIZONA" online video. The web address for the video has been recently changed. To view the video, go to the to Archaeology Channel web site at http://www.archaeologychannel.org/ and click on the "IN THE SHADOW OF THE VOLCANO: PREHISTORIC LIFE IN NORTHERN ARIZONA" link.
2. Bring to the class an idea or issue relating to the public interpretation of archeology for discussion.
