1. Mark door and case to keep set together after retrofit process. 2. Remove case door, do make note of any gasket material on door and clean if necessary. 3. Relocate artifacts to safe temporary storage area. Don't forget to label it. 4. Remove case from stack and transfer on dolly to work area. 5. Use scraper to remove old gasket material. 6. Use solvent to clean case ledges. Don't forget to use gloves! 7. Use scraper to remove old gasket material on inside back wall of case. 8. Vacuum case to remove any old gasket material. 9. Determine if case needs any cosmetic work. Grind any rust off surface. 10. Use primer on any grinded area to be painted. 11. Spray-paint case exterior in needed areas, allow adequate time to dry. 12. Paint case ledge, allow adequate time to dry. 13. Using angle bracket as template, punch holes in proper location with center-punch. Don't forget to center angle bracket on case lip and to use long angle bracket for long side, and short angle bracket for top and bottom. 14. Use power drill to drill marked holes. 15. Vacuum case lip and interior to remove metal flakes. 16. Place new gasket on case lip. Start with center section of gasket and place on top ledge of case. Make sure corners are flat and create right angle. 17. Insert top angle bracket in gasket slot. 18. With rivet, line up holes and install angle bracket using rivet gun. Insert side angle brackets in gasket slot and rivet those brackets in place. 19. "Dry fit" gasket around bottom corners and overlap one piece over the other. With a sharp knife cut through both layers of gasket to make them fit flat together. 20. Insert the bottom bracket into slot and rivet in place. 21. Replace case on stack. 22. Return artifacts to case.
