[transcription] CERTIFICATE OF PERMANENT REGISTRATION I, A. E. Olmsted, Registrar for Raleigh Township, 23 Precinct (or ward), of Wake County, do hereby certify that on this day Pope M. T. of C. Free race, of Wake County, Raleigh Township, 23 Precinct (or ward), age 44 years, took and subscribed the oath required by law and has this day been registered on the Permanent Roll as a voter in said township, ward or precinct, in accordance with section four, Article VI of the Constitution of North Carolina. This the 18 day of Oct 1902 NORTH CAROLINA. I, W. M. Russ, Clerk of the Superior Court of the aforesaid county, do hereby certify that the foregoing certificate is in due form, and that the signature of said A. E. Olmstead, Registrar of said precinct (ward or township), is in his own proper handwriting.
