NAGPRA Training
Introduction
The National NAGPRA program is committed to supporting the NAGPRA
implementation efforts of tribes, museums, and agencies. In addition
to general NAGPRA training, we will provide workshops that are customized
to your organization's needs, and designed to address those aspects
of NAGPRA that your organization deals with most often. Examples
of course topics include:

discovery and excavation provisions of NAGPRA;

the
NAGPRA claims process;
-
understanding
NAGPRA in relationship to state burial laws;
-
inventories
and summaries;
-
NAGPRA
grant writing.
Details
Workshops are taught by National NAGPRA program staff, and can
be offered as stand-alone courses or as part of a more comprehensive
training presentation. The host organization pays for National
NAGPRA staff travel costs.
