| John (Johney) Bielenberg [1846-1922] was Kohrs' younger half-brother and business partner. As a teenager, he came to Montana to help Kohrs run his butcher shops.
When Kohrs bought the ranch, Bielenberg moved in and never left. A bachelor, Johney had a passion for raising and training thoroughbreds. He preferred the company of stockmen to society.
Johney sold purebred cattle and horses throughout the region. As a member of Montana territorial and state legislatures and the Montana Stock Growers Association, he had a substantial impact on the ranching industry. The Kohrs-Bielenberg partnership lasted over fifty years.
