Mrs. Sandburg loved making cheese. Brie cheese and feta were her favorites. This cheese mold was used to age and form the cheese. The molds were stored in the cheese house, the original spring house on the property. Granddaughter Paula remembers the cheese house with a heavy scent of anise and caraway that had been mixed in with the cheeses as they age.
