Civilian Conservation Corps enrollees at Bandelier learnt New Mexico style tinworking, in which designs are pierced or stamped into the surface of the tin. They made a great variety of light fixtures, sconces, chandeliers, and table lamps for use throughout the complex. This star-shaped lamp is in use near the back door of the Visitor Center.
