Dubuque Shot Tower
"The Shot Tower has long been a Dubuque treasure rich in history. It is a riverfront icon siginificant to the cultural identity of the city and sense of pride amongst its citizens. Through the generosity of NPS and the efforts of many , the project has transformed the Shot Tower into a true national landmark that has inspired and raised the historical awareness of people in Dubuque and the surrounding region. For that, the City of Dubuque is grateful beyond measure."

- Roy Buol, Mayor of Dubuque
