Great American Landmarks Adventure: Acknowledgements Acknowledgements

The creators of The Great American Landmarks Adventure book wish to thank Patricia Bonner for developing this Guide. Dr. Bonner has been a teacher for nearly two decades. Her special interest in motivating and educating students can be seen in the hands-on learning activities suggested on every page. At present, she is Director of Economics America of Michigan, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Lawrene Anfinson, educator and former Special Assistant to the Director, National Park Service, provided invaluable comments on the Guide which will serve to enhance its usefulness for both parents and teachers.

Special appreciation is extended to the late H. Ward Jandl, Chief of Technical Preservation Services, Preservation Services Division, for his support of the Adventure book and Guide and to Terry Robinson for her enthusiastic production assistance.

Roxie Munro has generously donated her Landmarks Adventure book illustrations in the hope that their use will inspire further study of American history and its relationship to current events. Teachers, parents, and volunteer educators may therefore reproduce Munro's illustrations together with the accompanying brief histories without penalty.
