We are pleased to make available this historic
resource study, part of our ongoing effort to provide comprehensive
documentation for all the historic structures and landscapes of National
Park Service units in the Southeast Region. Following a field survey of
park resources and extensive research, the project team updated the
park's List of Classified Structures, developed historic contexts, and
prepared new National Register of Historic Places documentation. Many
individuals and institutions contributed to the successful completion of
this work. We would particularly like to thank Biscayne Superintendent
Dick Frost and Cultural Resource Specialist Jim Adams for their
assistance. We hope that this study will prove valuable to park
management and others in understanding and interpreting the historical
significance of the park's cultural resources.
