Abstract:
This shapefile shows the location of the camera and
information about the photograph during the large format
photographic documentation of the San Juan National
Historic Site.
Purpose:
The large format photographic documentation of the San Juan
National Historic Site was undertaken to document the
condition of the stucco walls of the fortifications. The
camera location and information about the photograph
facilitates recreating the photo for monitoring purposes.

Attribute information was entered using a customized data
dictionary of was generated by the GPS unit. The CRGIS
maintains a high confidence level in the accuracy of the
attributes for each photo point. No cpmprehensive quality
control tests have been conducted however.

point represents each photopoint included within the project.

Process_Description:
A point was collected on site at the location of each
photograph taken using a Trimble ProXR GPS unit. The GPS
data was differentially corrected using a base station
maintained by the US Forest Service at the Botanical
Gardens at Rio Pedres, Puerto Rico using Trimble
Parthfinder Office software. The GPS data was then exported
from Pathfinder Office into the ESRI ArcView shapefile
(.shp) format, UTM, zone 19, NAD27 datum.
