Cabrillo National Monument commemorates Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo's 16th century exploration of San Diego Bay, Los Angeles and the California coastline. The monument is located at the tip of Point Loma and provides a magnificent view of San Diego Bay. The complex includes the 1854 Old Point Loma Lighthouse, a visitors' center, interpretive exhibits, tide pools, nature trails and a whale observation point.

Cabrillo National Monument, administered by the National Park Service, is located at 1800 Cabrillo Memorial Dr. in San Diego. It is open daily from 9:00am to 5:15pm, and until 6:15pm from July 4th through Labor Day. Call 619-557-5450 or visit the park's website for more information.
