Wayside Exhibit Trailsides

Trailside exhibit bases are designed to be small, low to the ground, identification panels of plant species or architectural features. They accommodate the same variety of panels and mounting options as larger, low-profile wayside exhibit bases.

Double Post

Panel Sizes (LxW, inches):
6x12

Height: 18 inches

Material:
Galvanized Steel, Weathering Steel, Painted Aluminum (NPS Brown/NPS Medium Gray)

Double post

The double-post base uses flat-bar posts instead of tubular posts found on larger upright and low-profile wayside exhibit bases. Panels can be easily replaced removing the tamper-proof screw (special bit required) in the back of the top capture rail.

Alumi-stake

Panel Sizes (LxW, inches):
6x12

Height: 18 inches

Material:
Painted Aluminum (NPS Brown/NPS Medium Gray)

Alumi-stake

The alumi-stake is a light weight, lower cost alternative to the double post base. It it very portable, which makes it ideal for movable identification. Made of a single piece of solid 1/8-or 1/4-inch painted aluminum, the alumi-stake can be mounted (without cement) in dirt or surface mounted—can be held in place with stones or logs. Panel is adhered to the aluminum surface with silicone adhesive.
