Do you have documentation that is puzzling you? Perhaps a notation on an inventory that you can’t decipher or understand, or a nineteenth century letter written in “criss-cross”. Our curators have been reading and interpreting inventories and primary documents for years. Eighteenth and nineteenth century handwriting can be tough to read and full of unfamiliar phrases and references. Let us see if we can figure it out.
