HFC curators have over 190 combined years of experience dealing
with material culture. If you have objects in your collection that
you can’t identify, perhaps we can help.
Do you have documentation that is puzzling you? Perhaps a notation
on an inventory that you can’t decipher or understand, or
a nineteenth century letter written in “criss-cross”.
Our curators have been reading and interpreting inventories and
primary documents for years. Eighteenth and nineteenth century handwriting
can be tough to read and full of unfamiliar phrases and references.
Let us see if we can figure it out. |
