Discovery Center ExhibitsThis bilingual (English and Spanish) exhibition is located in the Rock Creek Nature Center and is meant to address the needs of one of the park’s largest visitor groups—children. Funded through a grant from the Coca Cola Foundation, the exhibit interprets the park’s three primary ecosystems...the forest, the creek, and the meadow. Although modest in scale, the experience is truly multisensory and includes tactile models, low-tech interactives, the “Sounds of Rock Creek” computer program, and even several smell stations.
