Teacher to Ranger to Teacher

The Teacher to Ranger to Teacher program provides professional development opportunities for teachers in National Parks.

Through an agreement with a public school district, a teacher may be detailed to work as a park ranger for up to eight weeks in the summer. The Teacher-Ranger performs the duties of a park ranger-interpreter, reviews educational programming, and develops lesson plans and activities for use in the park and in the classroom. Teacher-Ranger makes presentations or teaches lessons as a park ranger during National Park Week of the following school year.

Contact Adam Prato for more information about Teacher to Ranger to Teacher at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site or in other National Parks.
