After completing 30 years of teacher pre-school special education for my local school system I was looking for a new adventure. A friend mentioned the V.I.P. program. It fit into my plans for retirement.

I have just completed my 3rd year as a V.I.P. for various parks around the U.S.

'Ama`u fern frond unfurling.

The young fronds of the `ama`u fern (Sadleria cyatheoides) often emerge red to block harmful rays from the sun. They gradually turn green with age.
