After completing 30 years of teacher pre-school special education for my local school system I was looking for a new adventure. A friend mentioned the V.I.P. program. It fit into my plans for retirement.

I have just completed my 3rd year as a V.I.P. for various parks around the U.S.

Did You Know?

Ripe `ohelo berries ready to be eaten by nene.

`Ohelo (Vaccinium reticulatum) is a relative of blueberries and a favorite food of nene, the Hawaiian Goose.  Its berries range from dark red to pale yellow when ripe and are sacred to Pele, the volcano deity.
