Listen to the "Songbird of Miloli'i" Diana Aki
Diana Aki was born in Hilo. Her parents had the love of Hawaiian music which allowed her to hear the music all the time as they would listen to it on LP. At the age of 8, she went to a concert with Lena Machado and Genoa Keawe and at that point she was hooked on Hawaiian falsetto music. A falsetto singer and accomplished ukulele player, Diana Aki is a Nā Hoku Hanohano award-winner. |
