Join singer, songwriter and kumu, Kīhei Nahale-ā for an evening of Hawaiian music and story telling. Born and raised in Hilo to a prominent musical family, Kīhei has played with numerous other musicians including Mark Yamanaka, Napua Mākua, Sean Naleimaile, and many others. Kīhei is passionate about sharing and perpetuating his knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and music. Hope to see you there.

The Kamehameha Butterfly is orange and black, with white spots.

Only two butterflies found in Hawai`i are native. The Kamehameha Butterfly (Vanessa tameamea) is Hawai`i's state insect, brightly colored, and larger than the Blackburn's blue (Udara blackburni).
