"Well, it’s been a little over six years since the Harriett Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park opened its doors to the public. Since then, we are so proud of the accomplishments we have made to provide the best possible visitor experience to the visiting public as well as our online presence through our website and social media platforms. We are also actively engaged with our onsite legislative partner Maryland State Parks and neighboring legislative partner Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge to further the legacy of Harriet Tubman and other freedom seekers, through the stories that connect the cultural resources and natural landscapes here on the Eastern Shores of Maryland. I wanted to take a moment along with the park staff to let you know that we are excited about the direction in which we are solidifying our framework and look forward to building upon our mandate of providing enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations."
