Experience the "peculiar institution" that fueled United States' economic engine and made vast plantations, such as Hampton possible, through an enslaved woman's eyes. Dressed in period attire, Park Ranger, Angela Roberts will take you on a 90 minute journey through the Hampton mansion, ice house, and octagon house foundation. She will tell the history of those who toiled to make the Ridgelys' lavish lifestyle possible.
