Hampton National Historic Site Visitor Contact Station Project Updates as of April 5, 2013 !!Please Excuse our Dust and Noise during Construction!! There is heavy construction traffic, so please use caution when visiting the park. The contractor has finished installing the 850 foot of sewer line. Testing will be conducted this week on the system. Thus completing phase two of the project. Phase three is in progress with the grading of the new entrance road and parking area. BG& E has completed the installation of the electrical service to the site and will be ready for when the building needs service. The natural gas services are 75% complete and should be finished in the next few days. Upcoming Two Weeks Phase III will continue as designed, this is the longest phase where the road and parking area will be defined. A lot of truck traffic will be occurring with the hauling off of rock and supplying the road bedding material. The Visitor Contact Stations grading has also begun, making way for the foundation to be installed. Thank you and enjoy your visit. |
