Drive cautiously - Endangered birds land on roadway
Nēnē (Hawaiian geese) are nesting in the park and may land on or frequent park roads and parking lots. Drivers are reminded to drive at the posted speed limits and exercise caution.
Hawai'i Pacific Parks Association (HPPA) is a non-profit cooperating association working in partnership with six national parks in Hawai'i and American Samoa. Proceeds from our park stores support interpretation, educational programs, research projects, publications, and cultural activities in Haleakalā National Park. HPPA also maintains an online store.
