The campground in the Kipahulu section of Haleakala National Park will reopen this Friday.  The National Park Service has refurbished the campground at Kipahulu to improve the facilities available to campers.  These improvements to the campground are funded by Haleakala’s entrance fees, allowing us to give back to the visitors who use the park.  Visitors to the site will now be able to experience improved parking, new picnic tables, and free standing grills.  Camping is still first come first served.  There is a $10 entrance fee to come into Haleakala National Park camping is free.  The park is happy to once again provide camping opportunities in East Maui.
