If you are conducting any type of business that brings you or your customers into any part of Haleakala National Park, you need a commercial use permit.

Contact the Commercial Use Manager at 808 572-4440 well in advance to set up any permits and find out about any special conditions.

Bamboo is one of the non-native plants you will see a great deal if when you hike the Pipiwai Trail in the Kipahulu Area of Haleakala National Park. The extensive bamboo forest provides a unique landscape of sights and sounds as you enjoy this hike.
