Education Program Updates for 2024
Hagerman Fossil Beds is currently unable to accommodate requests for educational programs (including field trips, virtual programs, and in-school programs) due to our efforts directed at developing and installing new fossil exhibits within Thousand Springs Visitor Center.
Please do not contact the park with an education program request at this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
Fossil Education Lesson Plans
During this pause in education program offerings, we welcome you to refer to Paleontology Lesson Plans created by our colleagues at other fossil sites within the National Park Service. Learn more about paleontology education activities here.
Coming Soon: Visitor Center Exhibits
Hagerman Fossil Beds is collaborating with our partners, Thousand Springs State Park, to develop and install new exhibits at Thousand Springs Visitor Center! Learn more about our interagency partner here. The exhibits do not have an anticipated opening date at this time.
Coming Soon: Fossil Traveling Trunks
The Hagerman Fossil Beds education team is developing fossil traveling trunks! These universally designed educational kits will include hand-painted replicas of fossils from Hagerman’s own fossil collection, plus lesson plans and activities. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project!
