Fees & Reservations
Entrance FeesGreat Falls Park is the only site on the George Washington Memorial Parkway with an entrance fee. Pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians pay $3 for a three-day pass. Visitors arriving by car pay $5 per vehicle for a three-day pass. All National Park Service passes are available at the park. Fees for ActivitiesMost ranger-led programs on the parkway are free. Fees are required for some activities at Glen Echo Park, including carousel rides, theater shows, and dances. MarinasThere are three marinas on the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Picnic ReservationsA fee is required to reserve picnic areas A, B, C-1, C-2, C-3, and D at Fort Hunt Park from mid-April through October. All other picnic areas are available on a first come, first served basis for free. PermitsPermits are required for certain activities within the park, including weddings, athletic events, filming, demonstrations, utility work, and commercial activities. There is an application fee associated for some of these types of permits. |
