  • Memorial Bridge Closed to Vehicles and Pedestrians

Fees & Reservations

Entrance Fees

Great Falls Park is the only site on the George Washington Memorial Parkway with an entrance fee. Pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians pay $3 for a three-day pass. Visitors arriving by car pay $5 per vehicle for a three-day pass. All National Park Service passes are available at the park.

Fees for Activities

Most ranger-led programs on the parkway are free. Fees are required for some activities at Glen Echo Park, including carousel rides, theater shows, and dances.

There are three marinas on the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Please contact individual marinas for boat rental, launch, or storage fees.

Picnic Reservations

A fee is required to reserve picnic areas A, B, C-1, C-2, C-3, and D at Fort Hunt Park from mid-April through October. All other picnic areas are available on a first come, first served basis for free.

Permits

Permits are required for certain activities within the park, including weddings, athletic events, filming, demonstrations, utility work, and commercial activities. There is an application fee associated for some of these types of permits.
