Dyke Marsh Wetland Restoration and Long Term Management NPS is requesting your input in developing the Dyke Marsh Wetland Restoration and Long Term Management Plan/EIS, specifically your comments on the proposed alternative concepts. NPS will be hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Indigo Landing - Washington Sailing Marina from 6:30-8:30 p.m. More details, and the opportunity to comment online are available by at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/gwmp. Environmental Assessment for Gravelly Point and Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary The National Park Service is seeking your comment on alternative concepts intended to enhance visitor access, safety and education for a study area that includes: Gravelly Point, Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary and a segment of the Mount Vernon Trail. More information is available and public comment can be made electronically at: http://parkplanning.nps.gov/GPRR The public is invited to attend a public meeting on June 5, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Indigo Landing Restaurant on Daingerfield Island to speak with NPS staff and learn more. Public comments will be accepted from May 23, 2012 through June 22, 2012. Public input will inform next steps in the process, including further development of alternatives and environmental impacts analysis. There will be further opportunity for public comment when the EA is released, which is anticipated later in 2012. |
